PAIA manual
Our manual under section 51 of the Promotion of Access to Information Act 2 of 2000, as amended by POPIA. It explains what records we hold and how to request access to them.
Draft: awaiting legal review. The particulars, the information officer and the registered address below are now complete and taken from the CIPC registration certificate and the Information Regulator certificate. The records schedule in section 4 still needs confirming against what the business actually keeps, and an attorney should review the whole document before it is relied on.

4. Records held
A complete manual must list the categories of records we hold, and state which are automatically available and which require a request. The categories below are indicative and must be confirmed against what the business actually keeps.
- Company records: incorporation documents, statutory registers, minutes and resolutions
- Financial records: annual financial statements, tax returns, invoices, banking records
- Client records: engagement agreements, correspondence, deliverables, working papers
- Personnel records: contracts, payroll, statutory returns
- Enquiry records: submissions through this website, as described in our privacy policy
[Confirm and complete this schedule]
5. Records available without a formal request
Nothing has been published under section 52 of PAIA. Our privacy policy, terms of use and this manual are freely available on this website.
6. How to request access
- Complete the prescribed request form, Form 2 of the PAIA Regulations: Request for Access to Record (PDF). A request on anything other than the prescribed form may be refused.
- Send it to the information officer at info@trevorgmenyatsogroup.co.za or the postal address above.
- Provide enough detail to identify the record and to identify yourself, and state the form of access you want.
- If the request is in the public interest or relates to your own personal information, say so and explain why.
- Pay the prescribed request fee where one applies. Access fees are payable before the record is released.
We will respond within 30 days. That period may be extended once, by up to 30 days, where the request is for a large number of records or requires a search through records held elsewhere. We will tell you in writing if that happens.
7. Grounds for refusal
We may refuse access where PAIA requires or permits it, including where release would unreasonably disclose someone else's personal information, breach a duty of confidence owed to a client, disclose commercial information belonging to a third party, or where the record is privileged in legal proceedings. If we refuse, we will tell you in writing which ground we relied on.
If you are unhappy with our decision, you may lodge a complaint with the Information Regulator using Form 5, or apply to a court. You do not need our permission to do either. [Attorney to confirm the remedies available against a private body and whether an internal appeal applies]
8. Fees
The request and access fees prescribed under PAIA apply. The current schedule is published by the Information Regulator. [Confirm current fee schedule]
9. Availability of this manual
This manual is available on this website, and on request at our registered address, at no charge.
Our information officer is registered with the Information Regulator under registration number 2025-060527. Registering the information officer and submitting this manual to the Regulator are separate steps. [Confirm whether the manual itself has been submitted to the Information Regulator]
